Programming Resources, Inc. is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to
fill a full-time position with one of our clients in Nashville, TN.

 

Title: System Administrator (MySQL, Oracle, Linux)

Skills: 5 years experience supporting large MySQL and/or Oracle database
environment, Linux & Sun Solaris, RHEL 5 is a plus

 

Description: 

A hire for this position will join the technology team as a System
Administrator with strong system administration skills responsible for
working as a part of the technology team to set-up, manage and execute daily
database and system administration tasks, assist with performance
engineering and release configuration efforts and provide technical support
for client implementation and support activities.



System Administrator Required Qualifications:
---------------------------------------------------------
** Have significant experience supporting large MySQL and or Oracle database
environments
o Back-up and recovery
o Query optimization
o Good database programming skills
** Have strong system administration skills with Sun Solaris and Linux
operating system environments. (RHEL is a plus)
o Environment set-up and support
o Infrastructure configuration design
** Are comfortable working with both technical and non-technical client
personnel
o Explaining tasks, concepts and instructions to others
o Troubleshooting technical problems.
o Coordinate multiple activities involving multiple parties
** Strong understanding of build and release configuration processes and
activities
** Are familiar with version control software like SVN and bug tracking
software like
trac
** Good understanding of software development methodologies and software
lifecycle
** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to
superior time
management skills, are essential
** Bachelor**s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
** Cares about making great software and being part of an engaging team



Salary range is 65-80k DOE.
