For 3. don't you mean:
3. If MSFT strikes down Mono (for all but Novell's pre-2013 customers)
on a technicality, those who use it will, at best, be left with no
platform except SLES and SLED versions up to 2012 on which to compile
and run their code.
ie. Doesn't the much hated MS / Novell cross patent agreement cover
Mono and any improvements introduced and released in SLES or SLED for
5 years from the original agreement (2007?). That's certainly my
understanding.
fyi: I also _think_ any technology released in SLES or SLED is also
covered by the agreement for users of openSUSE. But I'm less sure of
that.
