I have talked to the guys from clear, and the offical statement that I
have gotten is there are no drivers for linux, you are welcome to roll
your own.

Have you tried SUSE Studio? Need to create a Live CD,  an app you want
to package and distribute , or create your own linux distro. Give SUSE
Studio a try.
