In theory this equipment/driver combo will work with Linux:

The USB modem that works on Russia's "Yota" system. (I have confirmed with
Clear that it will work on Atlanta's system. ) As far as I can tell, it'll
run about $60.00 + plus shipping + random X factor expenses.
