Which translates to: The old wire feeding into the house was flaky and
the tech disconnected things to plug in his gear. When all was replugged
it magically worked again.

-OR- you have a rodent issue somewhere and the wire handling remade
connection or disturbed the grounding interference caused by gnawing
critters.
