When you install VMWare, it asks a question about installing host only
networking.  Make sure you answered 'no' to that question.  Once that is done,
just select the AMD PCNET Family Ethernet network drivers (at least in Win95,
should be similar for 98), and then configure TCP/IP as you normally would for
windows.  I have done this with both NT 4.0 and Win95 recently.
