I'd like to add that "unlimited off-peak usage" is another term for
all of the hours between 12am and 7am that you can cram in. I think
they include the first 60 peak hours, and then charge 95 cents
for each additional hour.
I don't know much about MCI...from what I've heard, they only support
their own software. Their software runs only on the Mac and Windoze
platforms. Since it is a PPP connection, linux could handle it just
fine.
Georgia Tech is setting up a deal where students can purchase an
account from MCI for PPP access. The access would allow you to
access all of the normal machines on campus. The campus dialins
should still be available, but competition will be very high.
