Position: *Senior Software Engineer - UI Team*



Primary roles and responsibilities:

1.) Individual will be self motivating and show self initiative.

2.) Individual will require minimal managerial oversight and can work
independently.

3.) Implement requirements as defined by the business quickly in a
collaborative fashion, with a high degree of quality and with minimal
managerial guidance.

4.) Participate in the complete agile development process including
planning, design/architecture and demo sessions.

5.) Evaluate new technologies and techniques for incorporation into
Vocalocity’s products and processes.

6.) Research, review and repair legacy code.

7.) Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.

8.) Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the
ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers and
staff.

9.) Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to
determine system problems.

10.) Tests code to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that code
results are accurate.

Client side development requirements:

1.) Javascript (object oriented) – Strong
2.) Javascript libraries (i.e. jQuery, ExtJS (preferred), YUI) – Strong
3.) Javascript debugging (i.e. Firebug, Dev Tool) –  Strong
4.) CSS – Strong
5.) Dynamic HTML – Strong
6.) AJAX - Strong
7.) JSON – Strong
8.) HTTP/HTTPS request/response headers – Strong

Server side development requirements:

1.) Java – Strong
2.) REST protocol – Strong
3.) Application server (i.e. Tomcat, Jboss (preferred)) – Strong
4.) Spring –  Nice to have
5.) Ibatis – Nice to have
6.) SQL – Nice to have
7.) Linux/Unix OS – Nice to have

Other requirements:

1.) JUnit – Strong
2.) Selenium/Html Unit – Nice to have
