i think we are getting far off topic. all i meant to say was that there is 
no other service like ftp.iitm.ac.in in india - serving fedora, centos, 
debian, ubuntu etc. unfortunately for us, the isp's are not yet sensitive 
to the fact that running mirrors can be cost effective by reducing 
international traffic.
