[mirror-admin] rsync start faster?

We upgraded to Fedora 9, but downgraded rsync on that to the Fedora 8 
version. The version shipped with 9 is 'new' and broken for us, it doesnt 
allow receiving *.blah anymore, and thats what we used a lot for syncing. 
Dont know if thats bug of feature but didnt like that behaviour and didnt 
have time to look further into that either.

Known issue?
