[ale] nginx rewrite

I've decided to just go with a temporary hack to tide me over until the
app can be rewritten to avoid the need for this special case..

it'd seem that the old query parameters would be appended by default for
a
rewrite, unless a '?' is added to the end of the replacement URL path to
reject such appending.
