Just wanted to say thanks for all the input. I learned a lot from your
feedback as well as subsequent googling. The class is complete now, and I
think I've raised enough problems for one class. More importantly, I
learned a lot from the class as well!
As I think about the progress of our digital consumer products, they often
become increasingly abstract, less attached to physical media, etc, and
therefore requiring more creative monetization (digital subscriptions,
etc). And I guess this means that the consumer has to be more responsible
about respecting the creator's property (or more careful about not getting
caught). Anyway, times have changed a lot since I gave any of this much
serious thought. Thanks for the help!
