The all-digital x-ray. Except they want a printed version. The old-school film version costs way less but the new digital stuff is far less radiation exposure and better detail and resolution. The trade-off is a significant cost and longer time of imaging as the new gear does a scan with a "penlight" instead of a blast with a "floodlight". Cool stuff.
My dad was running the American Chemical Society meetings in the southeast in the 70's. I got to go to the meeting where the creation and testing of the new CAT scan technology was introduced. Way cool!!
