[ale] EHLO

I spent the day with family in Sale Creek TN in the path of totality. Definitely worth the drive and the time off. I drove up Sunday and spent the night with them because I knew Monday traffic would be a zoo. U.S. 27 from Chattanooga to Dayton TN was a mess and other family that lives in Chattanooga that drove up that morning sent me pictures.

The entire thing was awesome. The full eclipse when one can view it without the glasses was spectacular and photos just don't do it justice.

Also just before full eclipse and just after one could see two crescents - one being a sliver of the sun itself and the other being the edge of the moon looking as if it were on fire. When I first saw the second crescent I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me until my family confirmed they saw it too.

I drove to Anderson SC and was duly amazed by the 2.5 minutes of totality.

I spent the day in Athens TN at a customer facility. They bought
eclipse glasses for all employees and shut down for about an hour so
they could all watch.

Totality is spectacular, btw. It was 2-1/2 minutes there.

No large animals nearby, but the cicadas went nuts.
