Satellite 5 also offers separate channels based on OS Release.  You could do dot releases as well, it just took more effort as the person configuring the satellite.  Likewise, I found the promotion of update workflow in five better than six.  I talked with one of the product managers last week in Raleigh and the next update to satellite 6 should update the UI significantly.
