[ale] Was Ale Breached

Every Sony device that uses software I've encountered has the same
behavior: it works very well until the first software upgrade and it gets a
bit "crunchy" is places. By the third upgrade it's nearly a useless device.
By upgrade I'm talking about M$ service packs. Linux on Sony is a challenge
as there is lots of undocumented and/or proprietary chipset noise on the
board. I've never personally used a Sony daily. I was glad when my sister
ditched hers and got something else.
