It's been my opinioned experience that Dell and HP laptops are utter
JUNK!!!  Cheaply made and repeatedly break, they do!

All three of my Thinkpads still work perfectly -- except that
my 10 year old R31 (low end model) DVD drive very recently stopped burning
DVDS though it can read them fine.  My oldest Thinkpad is older than that.

My newest one is a used T61 that works perfectly!
