Agreed -- Nvidia drivers do vex me from time to time however. I generally
download those from the company site and use their installer. Other methods
causes me heartache on my Kubuntu machines. Yes they are proprietary, but
they work .

I wonder if all the User groups that are tangential to Linux attract more
support than LUGs themselves. Is the Drupal user more interested in a
Drupal user group or a LUG? Is the Android user developer interested
attending a regular Android related event or a LUG?

A quick look a Meetup shows pretty strong support for Linux related user
groups.
