Already did the freezer attempt. :)
The drive won't POST itself and find the initial guide track on the
platter. It just clicks over and over again performing the initial head
seek and eventually gives up.
I'll try it again after Christmas (running on the backup server now) to
see if I can get it to boot just once more. I'll have the whole old
machine available to fiddle with it while it gets replaced with the Rpi
and external drive.
