[ale] VM guest partitioning practices

That is why I use LVM.  Make a LVvar, LVopt, etc as needed. 

The need is dependant on the app.  Like /opt/VENDORAPPNAME/data/log

the size and split is dependent on the use, but I think I am repeating
myself. Oh oh, recursive!
