[ale] Fedora install?

I don't ever use the gui version of yast, but the menu driven console version is good for certain tasks.  Also, some of the yast modules (call them with "yast modulename") have commandline options that are great for scripting.  The one for the firewall is particularly useful.
The modules for Apache and sudo are beyond useless, though.

I still have my Novell/SuSE SLES 9 admin books.  The instructor where I took classes advised us avoid using the GUI config tools in SLES, particularly for HTTPD.  I never understood wanting to use a GUI to configure Apache in the first place.

Actually, SLES is significantly better off now than they were back then.  The Novell years were the "dark years" for them.
