So you see 19.25V from the power supply, and same from internal jack cord
as long as it's NOT plugged into the motherboard. But once it's plugged
onto the mobo, you essentially no voltage across the same 2 points.
That would be a dead short rather close. See if the voltage changes with
the battery removed.
Can you also check current? I'm interested to see if the no voltage also
shows a high current or 0A.
On third thought, unless you _really_ want to pull out the soldering iron,
toss the thing in the trash (i.e. parts sales on ebay) after you pull out
the hard drive.
