[ale] OT electronics in us passport

It was all in the news a few years back - there is a contactless
(RFID?) data chip in the cover. There was great concern about being
able to read them from a distance greater than 3 inches.
There were DIY guides on the net about how to disable it, even.
However, microwaving it was not recommended.
