[ale] GIT Gui Linux & Windows

Some of the UI developers at my company researched all of the git GUI
options and settled on SmartGit.
http://www.syntevo.com/smartgit/index.htmlThey have been pretty happy
with it. I find modern version control systems
to be way too complex to be interfaced with a GUI. I can't handle a
gazillion checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns. I like that I can mix and
match options on the command line and then add the ones that work to a text
document for my own record. It would take dozens of screen shots to serve as
my reminder of how to use the GUI. No thank you. GUIs are for web browsing
and photo/video editing only.
