This is one reason I prefer using the 172.16/12 range for my private
networks.  Home routers are often default to 192.168.0/24 or
192.168.1/24, and it's not unusual to see people using something in
10/8.  Hardly anyone uses 172.16/12, so I'm unlikely to run into a
conflict.  Of course, if more people take the same tack, it will lose
this advantage, but frankly I expect the IPv6 transition to make it moot
before that happens.
