I believe this is the gogoclient software, which seems to undergo a name
change periodically (was once tspc, in Lucid it's gw6c, and in Maverick
it's gogoc), and yes, it has keepalive settings, which were already on
and set to an interval of 30 (which I believe is seconds).  I've halved
it to 15 and I'll see what happens (but the documentation indicates that
the broker may set its own minimum interval, so I don't know how short
it can actually go).

It's been updated to the latest firmware available from Netgear for it.
 I know of no alternate firmware available for it.
