That reminds me of the conversation I had years ago:

Me: Someone is intercepting my mail. How do I get this investigated.
Post Office moron: We'll send you a complaint form.
Me: If they are intercepting my mail wouldn't that just tip them off
that I'm onto them?
POM: We can only do the complaint by mail.
Me: I can't come to the Post Office and fill it out there?
POM: No.
Me: (Thought only: @?#! Is there someone with a brain I can speak to
there?)

Of course the conversation was longer than that but always kept getting
back to the "we only do mail complaints by mail". I started wondering
if the folks stealing mail had somehow gotten someone on the inside of
the complaints department.

Question : I have already gone through this with an older HD 3650
card. I do not have the money to go out and buy
other cards. I have already spent $125.00 for the
HD 5770.

Answer - 1044897
Answer : Unless there is either an issue with the card or the slot
on the board itself otherwise it should not
exhibit this issue. Anyway to attempt and test with
an different PCIe based videocard?

Question : After several attemps at StartupRepair it did boot using the
onboard video. Device manager and Catalyst
was able to access the HD 5770 card as well after
booting and logging in as it does in Linux. Attempting

to boot from the HD 5770 card corrupts Win7 and a
reboot from the onboard video into Safe Mode is
required.

Answer - 1043279
Answer : does it stop at this point each time during OS installation?
Do attempt to test the same procedure with no Video
and use onboard video

I'm beginning to feel like I'm in a circus act.
