Brian,
No, the problem wasn't with the HDD drivers it was with the partitioning and
location of / and /boot. With help from Jim K and some of the other folks on
the list, plus the CentOS how to page, I was able to properly configure the
software RAID and I got the system out the door yesterday.
Thanks to all who replied. This was my first CentOS install and basically my
first Linux install on a software RAID. Boss wasn't happy that it took so
long to figure out, but on the whole it was pretty painless and I'm much
more confident in my partitioning skills.
