[ale] [OT] cartoon on BP spill blame

The one thing rfom the article I _LIKED_ was the time limit the oil co had
after an incident to be clearly handling the problem or else the government
took over and started sending bills to the oil co.

'bout damn time on the acceptance of assistance since our team is clearly a
few fries shy of a happy meal.

I'm still a huge fan of mandatory jail time for vp-level up through the
entire board for "too big to fail" corps that screw up and have to get
bailed out like wall street or now BP. Auto-jail button involves
auto-confiscate of all personal property of those going to the pokey. That
crowd gets paid the big bucks for "taking on the responsibility" of big
risks. They should have some _serious_ "skin in the game" requirements to
play at level. Especially since big-corp can now act as a human and spend
big bucks on campaign donations.

"Yes, mr. big-co exec you can head up a division of mega-corp and get paid a
few mill a year plus bonuses of mills more and stock options galore. But you
have to list your entire family's assets on this form and all of your
property deeds will be held in escrow until 10 years after you retire just
in case."

It's pretty much what happens to the little corps anyway. The exec have to
put up their personal assets to back the corp so they have serious vested
interest in see the corp not screw up.

Faith is a cop-out. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by
faith, then you are conceding that it can’t be taken on its own merits.
