[ale] My resume

I currently work for a headhunter agency, and i see a lot of resume's 
come across as pdf files. If you can create them embedded, it makes it a 
lot harder for recruiters to edit them.
At the same time, there are reasons that recruiters will edit the 
resume, some is for your protection and some is for theirs. If they 
include your direct contact, they could be cut out of the loop and loose 
their commission on your placement.
While I see both sides of this practice, its the least of my complaints 
in the current market, the worst offense is the outsourcing of 
recruiting to overseas call centers that are given little or no 
information about the position they are harvesting resume's for. These 
drones don't even understand the questions you may ask or the 
information you have on your resume.

Personally, my resume is up to 8 pages and thats with dropping of some 
old positions that have little reference to my current skills and goals. 
The odd thing is, I mentioned it to some of the recruiters here and they 
made the comment "So, your trying to make your resume look younger" so 
it seems they may judge a person's age by the length of their resume.
