[ale] I need a machine that'll run [MS] XP stuff because of repair software unavailable in other formats, what are my choices, if any, other than MS XP ?

I have been (as) pleased (as a Linux zealot possibly can be) with
TinyXP. It is a minimal XP install that I run in a VM for performing
Blackberry upgrades. I found it via BT. It does not require that you
have any prior DVD/CD or serial.

I think that if the DMCA can be law, we ought to be able to pass
others like. "If a piece of software becomes 80% ubiquitous, it
becomes public domain 2 years after its publication."
