[ale] Ubuntu 6.06 can't start X - says "bad version"

Hi John,

Do you know the specific chipset and integrated video that this ECS 
motherboard has? The Ubuntu release you're trying might be too old to 
support it.

When X failed, did you look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see if there was 
any more detail than "bad version"?
