Restricted Drivers Manager to install binary drivers and Gnome App
Install to install most software (including flash, mp3 playback, etc).
There are easy-to-follow directions at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats for installing
software that Ubuntu just can't include in the US, such as libdvdcss2
and the microsoft codecs.
