[ale] Connecting with SUSE 10.0

The DNS has been OK all along and the router has been delivering them
correctly. I could not get beyond the router with pure IPs.
But...................
I went out this afternoon and just got back. It is now working all the way
to The Net. I don't know what happened. Maybe the OS learned or just
maybe a miracle occurred. Thanks for all the help. A long time ago, I was
a member of the UNIX group that met at White Hall. I have been to only one
meeting of the Linux group and so far it is unbelievable how much help has
come my way from the meeting and from the listserv.
