No. With RedHat/Fedora, pretty close to the start of the install it
asks you what type you want to install. Workstation, Server, Custom, or
"Minimal". You want the minmum, then that's all the work ya gotta
do, and it will also only require the first installation CD.
If you want to install "everything" that takes extra work, as then you
have to select "custom" then when given the package group list, select
the "everything" group.
Meanwhile, If you want additional packages later, Fedora comes
configured for yum out of the box, even on a minimal install.
Now it's possible to install an even more stripped-down system, but that
takes extra work in the form of a kickstart installation. But unless
you know what you're doing, you'll end up with a mostly-broken system
anyway.
