ok, it now works. (I guess it only works on Thursdays and when my daughter is in the room) *or* the 2 sticks of RAM need to be in slots #1 and #2 - as opposed to the documentation which states to put PC3200 in slots #1 & #3 or #2 & #3 (which I foolishly did thinking the manual was correct). Next time I'll do the manly thing and forget the directions. Greg
