[ale] IMAP slowness

Try the cyrus imap server.
A friend ran 150 000 Users+ on a single linux box.
(Big fibre connected storage back-end)
I am running it at home as my email store.
Excellent caching and low memory footprint.
The documentation may be a bit overwhelming at first - but you can get
by with a simple howto.
I am pretty sure that it supports Quotas.
