Wonderful. That's something that I'll need to do in the long run
here... The only 10MB NIC is my roommate's machine, and the only 1G one
at the moment is my laptop. I wanted to make sure it was at least 100
only because I plan on toying with PXE stuff because (at the moment,
anyway) I can't repartition anything on the laptop non-destructively
(Damn NTFS) and I want to run Linux at the very least when I'm at home,
damnit.

Maybe perhaps one day I'll have the $$ to afford a USB hard drive and be
able to get it running Linux that way -- now that I've *finally* figured
out how to do it. That took way too long to do on my girlfriend's
brother's laptop.

At least it works -- and faster then I would've expected for it running
what seems to be USB 1.1.
