Not with a dual speed switch. Most (if not all) modern switches can
handle 10Mb and 100Mb full speed duplex at the same time. The switch
will take care of the store-n-forward for the slow legs.

Of course, at 100Mb card can be picked up for ~$10 or less.

If you are running 1000Mb stuff, you will need to double check the
specks on the switch. There are some 1st gen versions that will only do
1Gb if everything is 1Gb. The newer ones I've seen lately will support
multi-speed just fine.

If you can swing it, 1Gb card on the router/fileserver, a 10/100/1000Mb
switch and 100Mb on all the LAN makes a speedy setup.
