As a tremendous time saver and to make distribution less dependent on 
proprietary computers or software,  you might consider recording the slide 
shows via digital video camera or composing your slide shows in a computer  
editing program like iMovie and then simply publish them on VHS or DVD.  
There may also be options through DVD authoring programs, like the iDVD 
program that ships with OSeX Macs. Most have some level of slide show with 
sound track capabilities, though you probably need to step up to a full 
authoring suite like DVD Studio Pro to set individual slide timings and fully 
control transition selections.

There may be some other, similar avenues as well. I do contract video work 
like this for a living, so feel free to get in touch private if the DVD route 
is appealing and you want to put my tools and expertise to use.
