[ale] DVD burning software?

What exactly does it do?  I've run k3b without gnome/kde and it's worked 
fine.  I've been quite impressed by k3b.

k3b uses the more friendly dvd_rw-tools.  The name is misleading as it 
will burn both dvd- and dvd+.
