Get some prism54 cards.  They have linux native drivers, see:

I've got the 3com OfficeConnect Wireless 11g PC card for my laptop and I 
have an SMC 2802W EZ Connect Wireless PCI card.  They both work with 
this driver.  Compusa had the EZ Connect on sale with a rebate.  $69 
before the $40 rebate.
