try passing disableapic to the kernel on boot.

Found that in a thread on google groups - translated from German...made
for an interesting read. The article talks about it thinking it is a MP
box but withouth the MP. BIOS update or that flag were the suggestions.
Google on "cpu:0, clock:0, slice:0" to fine the whole thread.
Must be that SCO SMP code in the kernel :)
