[ale] Linux and DSL

The problem is that Bellsouth has taken the stance that they only want
to support Microsoft and Apple. Anything other than that and you are on
your own. I don't think they will even give you equipment unless you
tell them you at least have Windows 98.

If you are wanting DSL with support from the provider for Linux then
check out Speedfactory. When you have to talk with the support at
Speedfactory you can have an actual intelligent conversation about a
problem instead of trying to get the person to understand what you are
saying.

I used to be interested in Windows NT, but the more I see of it the more it looks like traditional Windows with a stabler kernel. I don't find anything technically interesting there. In my opinion MS is a lot better at making money than it is at making good operating systems.  -- Linus Torvalds
