I just got off the phone with a HellSouth rep. who wanted to
sell me a DSL connection.
He wanted to know what operating system I was using. When I
told him I used Linux, he responded,
"Sorry, DLS isn't available to you."

I explained to him that I have been running a MIndspring DSL
connection through Linux for more than a year now, and that,
obviously, the person who had imparted this gem of wisdom either
was lying or was so hopelessly incompetent that he shouldn't be
allowed anywhere near a computer.

But it does give some insight to problems with HellSouth.
