Commercial product-wise, look at Net Integrator's appliance server add-on:

They quietly admit that their servers run the Linux kernel with their own custom software. No fear of M$ viruses and worms. Their Mark I product was named PC Mag's Networking Product of the Year 2002.
( I shouldn't mention that I've completed the training to sell the product )
