Just pointing out an invalid argument/tactic/position that has been commonly
used in the past. With it exposed, I agree to drop it.

Think farther. From Google's position (and my own) the code is open source. :)
For the rest of the world it is closed. With ATI and Matrox it is open to the
world like stock grade Linux. Nvidia's and Microsoft's software is closed.
<Entire opensource vs. closed source argument placed here>

That would change with the support and an endorsement from the Linux
community. The LC (doesn't that sound cool?) writes code (and supports
features) as needed. The ATI code can be seen as a starting point, with the
community contributing code until all features are supported

OR

ATI can work hard to support all of the features and focus marketing efforts
on the Linux community. Either way, we all win with
ATI/Matrox/opensourcevideocards.

Support Open Source Video Drivers.
