Who owns the wire running to your house?  BellSouth?  I assume you use a 
different local phone provider, but the bottom line is, chances are good 
that Bellsouth still owns the wire.

I'd call Speedfactory and see if they can service you.  Let them know 
the specifics regarding your service.
