[ale] more KYLIX stupid noob stuff

So I'm installing Kylix3 the open version. The install appears to run fine most of the way until it starts trying to do things in usr/local/kylix3/bin which doesn't exist. Two questions are asked at the beginning:
Installation path:Â Â defaults to /usr/local/kylix3
Symbolic link path:Â defaults to /usr/local/bin
My first guess was that the symbolic link path really needed to be set to /usr/local/kylix3/bin but that doesn't fly either because that directory doesn't exist.
I'm a tad confused, and I'll take any advice I can get.
Thanks cfowler for helping me get it all the way removed so I could try again.
