I don't know if you caught my other posts, but I've got both personal 
and professional.  I did this install from Professional.

I've not rebooted since I got my dualhead going.  I've already turned 
off hardware sensing at boot.

I don't think it would pick up on it, as it didn't during install and I 
tried YAST2 after the install was complete and it says I don't have the 
hardware to do multi-head.  The interesting thing is that if I go into 
Yast now, after configuring my dual head, it apparently sees it, as it 
lets me 'in' to configure it.  I didn't go beyond that effort, but if 
you're truly interested in what YAST will do, let me know, I'll give it 
a spin.  As I always tell everyone else, I've backed up my file. :)
